Governance, Security & Service Terms

This page provides an overview of how Fiber Nexus delivers services, manages information security, defines client and provider responsibilities, and explains how engagements are structured.

This document defines FiberNexus operational practices related to data protection, security controls, service delivery, and system access management. These practices are aligned with generally accepted information security and service management principles and are designed to support confidentiality, integrity, and availability of client systems and data.
The following sections explain how Fiber Nexus operates, how services are delivered, and how responsibilities related to security, data, access, payments, and third-party systems are handled. It is intended to provide clarity, transparency, and mutual understanding when engaging with our team.

1. Business Model & Engagement Approach

Fiber Nexus operates as a service-based technology and infrastructure provider delivering professional IT, cloud, DevOps, automation, and engineering services.

Our business model is based on:

  • Direct communication and engagement with clients
  • Project-based or ongoing service arrangements
  • Remote and offshore delivery using dedicated or shared resources
  • Clearly defined scope, responsibilities, and terms before work begins

We do not sell automated services or self-service subscriptions through this website. All engagements begin through direct communication and mutual agreement.

2. Offshore Delivery Model

Fiber Nexus operates using a distributed and offshore delivery model that allows clients to access skilled technical resources at optimized operational cost.

Key principles of this model include:

  • Work performed by qualified engineers and specialists
  • Remote delivery supported by secure tools and communication
  • Cost efficiency through regional operational advantages
  • Flexible engagement structures depending on project needs

This model allows clients to reduce operational cost while maintaining professional service quality.

3. Scope of Services

Services may include, but are not limited to:

  • Cloud infrastructure and platform management
  • DevOps, automation, and CI/CD pipelines
  • System administration and monitoring
  • Network, firewall, and security management
  • Software and application development
  • AI, automation, and internal tooling development
  • Advisory, consulting, and technical support

The exact scope, deliverables, and timelines are defined per engagement.

Important: Any work outside of agreed scope requires confirmation and may involve additional cost or timeline adjustment.

4. Pricing, Payments & Resource Allocation

Pricing depends on the nature of work, technical complexity, duration, and required expertise.

General principles:

  • Pricing and payment terms are agreed before work begins
  • Some engagements may require advance or milestone-based payments
  • Certain projects require allocation or hiring of specialized personnel
  • Costs may change if scope, staffing, or requirements change
  • Work may be paused if agreed payments are delayed or not received

Fiber Nexus does not commit to fixed pricing unless explicitly agreed in writing.

5. Third-Party Services, Licenses & Provider Accounts

Many projects depend on third-party platforms, services, or providers such as cloud vendors, software vendors, telecom operators, or external APIs.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Client is responsible for owning and managing third-party accounts
  • Client is responsible for all payments related to third-party services
  • Client must pay third-party vendor invoices directly through legal and authorized channels
  • Fiber Nexus does not collect, hold, or pay third-party billing accounts on behalf of clients
  • Fiber Nexus does not collect or resell third-party subscriptions

Fiber Nexus is not responsible for:

  • Third-party outages or service disruptions
  • Changes in pricing, features, or policies by external providers
  • Actions or failures caused by third-party services

Access to third-party systems is used strictly for service delivery purposes and handled securely.

6. Information Security & Access Control

Fiber Nexus applies reasonable security practices appropriate to scope of work. Security measures may include access control enforcement, encrypted communications, system hardening, monitoring, logging, and least-privilege access principles, applied according to service scope and operational needs.

These include:

  • Granting access only when required for service delivery
  • Applying least-privilege access principles
  • Secure handling of credentials and access data
  • Revoking access after project completion or termination
  • Using secure communication methods where applicable
  • Monitoring and logging access where appropriate

Incident Response and Notification

In the event of a security incident affecting client systems or data, FiberNexus follows internal procedures to investigate, contain, and mitigate the impact. Where appropriate, affected clients will be notified with relevant details and recommended next steps.

Security measures may vary depending on project requirements and environment.

7. Data Protection & Confidentiality

We maintain a privacy-first approach to all client information:

  • All client data remains the property of client
  • Data is used only to deliver agreed services
  • Confidential information is not shared without authorization
  • Confidentiality obligations apply during and after engagement
  • Reasonable safeguards are applied to protect sensitive information
  • Access to client systems and data is granted only when required for service delivery
  • We do not use client data for training AI models or machine learning systems without explicit consent
FiberNexus acts as a service provider and data processor, and processes client data only based on service requirements and documented client instructions.

Data Retention

Service-related information, logs, and operational data are retained only as needed to support service delivery, security monitoring, and contractual obligations. After service completion or termination, relevant data is removed or made inaccessible within a reasonable operational timeframe unless continued retention is required for security, audit, or legal purposes.

Fiber Nexus does not sell, trade, or misuse client data.

8. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Ensure legal ownership or authorization for all systems, data, and accounts provided
  • Provide accurate and timely access required for delivery
  • Maintain backups unless otherwise agreed
  • Ensure lawful and compliant use of services
  • Maintain valid licenses and subscriptions for third-party tools
  • Provide timely approvals, inputs, and communication

Delays or issues caused by missing access or approvals may impact timelines or delivery.

9. Acceptable Use Policy

Services must not be used for activities that are unlawful or harmful, including but not limited to:

  • Fraud or financial abuse
  • Unauthorized access or hacking
  • Malware or harmful software distribution
  • Network abuse or denial-of-service activity
  • Circumventing laws or third-party policies

Fiber Nexus reserves the right to refuse or suspend involvement in activities that violate these principles.

10. Support, Availability & Communication

  • Support availability depends on agreed engagement
  • Response times and coverage vary by service level
  • Emergency or priority support requires prior agreement
  • Communication is conducted via agreed channels
Important: No guaranteed 24/7 availability is implied unless explicitly contracted.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-agreed" basis
  • Fiber Nexus is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant services
  • Outcomes depend on multiple external and third-party factors

12. Updates to This Page

Changes to operational practices or policies are reviewed internally and published on this page when applicable.

13. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

FiberNexus websites may use essential cookies and similar technologies to enable basic functionality, security protections, and session handling. These technologies do not collect personal profiling information. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential tracking mechanisms in the future, this page will be updated to reflect those additions and how they are used.

These terms are intended to provide transparency, structure, and mutual protection. We respect our partner companies' policies, negotiate in good faith, and prioritize satisfaction and trust in all engagements. Specific written agreements or contracts may override or supplement these terms when applicable.
